A non-profit organisation Africa Green Earth will soon start with a waste recovery and green energy deal with Barberton Mines in Mpumalanga.
The deal, which was signed in October last year, will see the organisation use plastic and other recyclable materials to produce oil and fuel that will be used by three of the four mines that fall under the Barberton Mines group.

The barrel of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) gained more than 1% on Monday as the latest PMI data from the euro area and the US revealed that the business activity in the manufacturing sector continued to expand at a robust pace.
Demand dynamics continue to drive oil prices
With large states in the US continuing to ease the coronavirus-related restrictions and Europe looking to allow international travel, crude oil prices continued to rise on the back of an improved demand outlook on Tuesday. As of writing, WTI was trading at its highest level since mid-March at $65.65, gaining 1.8% on a daily basis.

CHENNAI: One of the most heartstring-tugging aspects about the documentary “Children of the Enemy” by Chilean-Swedish auteur Gorki Glaser-Muller, is parental love and compassion for a child.
But the movie, that recently had its world premiere at the Copenhagen Documentary Film Festival CPH:DOX, goes beyond that in conveying the message that children still need care and understanding even if their parents have committed horrific crimes.
Muller follows his friend and the “hero” of his documentary, Patricio Galvez, a Chilean-Swedish musician in his 50s with a heart condition, as he goes in search of his seven grandchildren.
DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s debt capital market is expected to grow as the Kingdom doubles down on its Vision 2030 goals, S&P Global said.
The Kingdom is banking on the increasing role of its debt and equities market in financing Vision 2030, the report said, as it seeks to attract more foreign direct investments. We think banks will continue to play an important role in financing Vision 2030, but foresee an increased role for the local capital market, said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Timucin Engin in the report published Tuesday.
The private sector will also contribute significantly to Saudi Arabia’s funding of its ambitious plans, S&P said.
While several developed economies are rolling back Covid-related restrictions in place for more than a year, developing nations such as India are facing a record surge in infections with more than 20 million cases. India, the world s third-largest oil consumer, has grounded air transportation with various states enforcing lockdowns to contain the latest outbreak.
Still, Opec remains optimistic over demand growth. Last month, the group revised oil demand growth upwards by 100,000 barrels per day for 2021, on the back of a stronger economic rebound supported by stimulus programmes in the world s largest economies.
The group, known as Opec+, which includes non-member producers led by Russia, undertakes supply corrections in the global oil market. Last week, the bloc kept production curbs at current levels as it looked to balance recovery with a sharp rise in cases in some countries.
